Ice cream courses

Through out the year we host ice cream courses, with individual registration. Look in our webshop under ice cream production and find the date that suit you the best.

Basic: 895,-/person

Everyone that wants to learn, how to make your own ice cream and sorbet, can attend this course. We go though the basic science behind ice creams and how different ingredients affects the structure. We produce ice cream and sorbets from scratch and freezes them on both small household ice cream machines and a batch freezer.

Your creativity will also be used, when we are deciding which flavours to use. The ice creams and sorbets will be tasted during the course and the rest can be taken home.

The course is approximately ½ theory and ½ practical work.

 

Advanced: 995,-/person

This course is for everyone, who already has some experience cooking and maybe you already tried making your own ice cream at home. We will go in depth with some of the science behind making the ideal ice cream structure and how different ingredients affects this. We will learn how to calculate ice cream recipes so you have the tools to make your own recipes. We produce ice creams and sorbets from scratch and add different flavours and ingredients. The ice creams and sorbets are frozen on a batch freezer and we will go through the sensoric differences of the ice creams. The rest of the ice creams and sorbets are available for you to take home.

The course is approximately ½ theory and ½ practical work.

Online advanced: 895,-/person

Our advanced ice cream course is also available as an online course. This ice cream course is for everyone who already has some experience making ice cream at home, but would like to know some more about the science behind creating the ideal ice cream structure. We will go in depth with the science behind ice cream, how different ingredients affect the ice cream structure and we will calculate recipes. We will make ice cream on a batch freezer, for you to see how it works.
